01. ABOUT

I'm Brock McClung — a product design solopreneur based in Virginia. I partner with ambitious teams to craft structured, scalable product experiences from strategy to pixel.

My work sits at the intersection of systems thinking and visual craft. I believe great design isn't just beautiful — it's coherent, intentional, and built to grow with the product around it.

With experience spanning fintech, SaaS, gaming, and enterprise software, I specialize in transforming complex systems into interfaces that feel intuitive and built to last.

04. APPROACH

I lead with curiosity and close with precision. Every engagement begins with deep listening — understanding not just what you're building, but why it matters and who it's for.

I work best as a collaborative partner embedded in your process. I bring both strategic perspective and the executional depth to see ideas through to shipped product.

I design systems, not screens. Scalable components, clear documentation, and handoffs that engineering teams actually want to use.

05. EDUCATION

The Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University

Digital Design & Interactive Media

Intensive program focused on the intersection of design, technology, and digital media production. Developed core competencies in interface design, motion graphics, and digital storytelling.

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh

Graphic Design

Studied the fundamentals of visual communication, typography, color theory, and brand identity. Built a strong foundation in design principles that continues to inform every project.

Lincoln University of Pennsylvania

Liberal Arts

Undergraduate studies providing a broad academic foundation in critical thinking, communication, and the humanities — skills that shape a human-centered approach to design.

06. HOBBIES

Gaming

Gaming has always been a creative outlet and a source of inspiration. From narrative-driven RPGs to competitive multiplayer, games represent some of the most sophisticated interactive design in existence. They've shaped how I think about feedback loops, progression systems, and the emotional arc of a user experience.

Faith

Faith is the foundation beneath everything else. It informs how I approach my work, how I treat the people I collaborate with, and how I think about purpose and meaning in what I create. It's less about having all the answers and more about staying anchored to something larger than the work itself.

Toy Collecting

Collecting figures and toys is a pursuit of craft, nostalgia, and design appreciation all at once. There's something deeply satisfying about objects made with intention — the sculpt, the paint, the packaging. It's one of the places where my love of visual design and pop culture intersect most honestly.
